Cardano updates the Daedalus wallet before the start of the test network
Cardano has announced that a new update of the Daedalus Wallet has gone live on the Cardano Mainnet. The update, released just days before the launch of the Shelley Incentive trial, will bring new features such as an integrated newsfeed and a redesigned user interface.
Cardano’s Daedalus Wallet gets a facelift
Cardano has made great progress in recent weeks, introducing several new projects and collaborations, and preparing for the launch of the enchanting test network offered by Shelley. The last major update coming from the company was the upgrade of its native Daedalus wallet.
The version 0 . October on the Cardano-Mainnet and has brought “important” changes to the Daedalus, the company said in a blog post.
In addition to a redesigned interface, the most important change to the update was the addition of a newsfeed. Daedalus users can now send four different types of news about the latest developments in the crypto industry through Wallet.
The update also introduced a new Wallet Recovery phrase review system that warns users if their recovery phrase has not been reviewed for a long period of time.
New features and bug fixes to make Daedalus more user-friendly
The goal of the update was not only to introduce several new features, but also to fix issues users reported with the previous release of Daedalus. According to the blog post of the company, problems with the user interface seemed to be paramount.
To fix this improved v0. to create and repositioned icons for external links and copying the clipboard.
However, the new update prevents users in Japan from redeeming their ADA presale vouchers directly through the Daedalus interface.
These enhancements, which focus on the user experience, come just days before the launch of the inspiring test network for the Shelley era of Cardano. It is expected that a large number of users will transfer their ADA to Daedalus to prepare for the network snapshot.
In an AMA earlier this month, the Cardano team stated that the snapshot is being taken to determine the state of the network, whereupon all ADAs owned by the users are being transferred to the test network.
