Weiss Crypto Ratings now rates Bitcoin with an A-

Weiss Crypto Ratings updated its rating for Bitcoin, which is again the 10. 000 – Dollar mark passed and currently at 10. 120 dollar is traded. Weiss now rates Bitcoin A or “excellent” because the fundamentals are improving and the price is also skyrocketing before halving, which will take place in about three months.

Weiss previously downgraded Bitcoin, but the agency appears to have changed its mind after the leading cryptocurrency performed best in January over the past seven years.

Weiss brings five decades of experience in the financial industry

Weiss is relatively new to crypto investments, but the agency has almost five decades of experience in the traditional financial industry. The company offers a paid subscription to various investment vehicles for digital assets.

The US-based company offers a range of crypto ratings to assess risk, reward, technological innovation and level of acceptance. The company also provides crypto research reports that cover market sentiment, potential investment opportunities, and price warnings.

Dr. Martin Weiss, CEO of the Weiss Group, said last year that the digital asset industry needed “objective, independent valuation systems”. He argued that “they will enable individual and institutional investors to overcome hype and fear – to identify the really promising cryptocurrencies.”

In addition to evaluating Bitcoin, Weiss regularly evaluates the most important altcoins, including Cardano's ADA. In November 2019 the agency caused a stir on Twitter when it said that Cardano was “clearly” superior to the Altcoin EOS.

The American asset valuation company was also criticized for claiming that the XRP community should consider switching to XLM because Stellar has a “technological advantage” over the Ripple platform.

In October last year, Weiss also stressed that China would never use Bitcoin. The comments came shortly after the publication of the 14. Issue of the crypto ranking index by the Center for Information and Industrial Development (CCID) of China.

The CCID had put EOS in first place, which has led the list since the second edition of the ranking. TRON and Ethereum came in second and third place.
